bluebottlebiz, the worldwide cloud-based platform specializing in business content, was born as a initiative of Business Publishers Roundtable one year ago in the Frankfurt Book Fair 2012 BPR meeting.

All BPR members shared the vision of a publishing business model where specialized, cloud-based content is offered via subscription to readers focused on one knowledge area.

So why bluebottlebiz?…

Inspired by the concepts embodied in the book Blue Ocean Strategy, the founders of bluebottlebiz wanted to target new markets and simultaneously create value for our customers and our company.

Then came the bottle — the original vessel for information-sharing. We believe that having the right information at the right moment allows our customers to create value through their personal and professional decisions.

Finally, we needed something in the brand that emphasized our focus: business. And like that, bluebottlebiz was born. A digital library specialized in sharing business information with business professionals.

One year later, bluebottlebiz is off and running! Selling to clients in Spain and Latin America, the United States, and the UK, the secure, easy-to-use digital library offers content from over 50 publishers worldwide including McGraw-Hill, Kogan Page, Berrett-Koehler, and Nicholas Brealey.

The Business Publishers Roundtable is an international association of business book publishers, each representing one language, whose aim is to contribute to the world’s progress, freedom and welfare through the dissemination of ideas for business in different languages. This is translated into practice by the exchange of information on authors’ rights, providing advice to fellow members on their publishing activities and by carrying out copublishing or joint venture projects in order to gain greater visibility and recogition among authors, readers and other publishers.
